While waiting for the new system to come into full operation, direct access to the competition is planned for those who have already been teaching in public schools for a minimum of 3 years. The winners will then have to get 30 college credits and take the qualifying test to pass the function.

During the transition phase, those who do not already have three years of teaching behind them, but want to teach, will be able to obtain the first 30 university credits, including the internship period, to access the competition. The law also provides for the revision of the current competition classes with their rationalization and consolidation.

The continuous training of teachers will be continuous and structured, so that the innovation of teaching models is favored, also in view of the experience acquired during the health emergency and in accordance with the development objectives of innovative teaching that provides for the National Plan. of Recovery and Resilience. Training on digital skills and on the critical and responsible use of digital tools will be part of the training that is already compulsory for everyone and will take place during working hours.

Then, the decree introduces a system of updating and training with a three-year planning that will allow teachers to acquire knowledge and skills to design a teaching with innovative tools and methods. This training will be voluntary for those who are already in office today, it will become mandatory for new hires, once the contract has been adjusted.
