From July 2, the Torlonia Theater becomes a fantastic stage full of fun for a poker of outdoor shows that will accompany the summer of young and young spectators with their families.
The review divided into four different theatrical proposals, curated by Fabrizio Pallara, will welcome children from 3 years old, and not only, to the greenery of Villa Torlonia, the four weekends of July -every Saturday and Sunday at 6 p.m. (2 and 3; 9 and 10; 16 and 17; 23 and 24 July). A special event to re-excite everyone and everyone with the magic of the art of the scene between puppets, waders, storytellers and bicycle explorers, and build shared trajectories about reality together with younger spectators.
It starts on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July with the puppets of the Hypnotic Medical Theater company that will give life to the fun IL DOG INFERNALE. The puppeteer Patrizio Dall’Argine, with the help of Veronica Ambrosini, brings to the stage a very unpleasant gentleman who, due to a small and insignificant accident, decides as revenge to undo his infernal dog and wreak havoc on the city. After several misdeeds, the duchess, on the advice of little Lomè, promises a prize to those who will free the city from the dog. The unlikely bounty hunters come from everywhere, but no one can catch him. In the end it will be Lome who solves the case and appeases the Beast, using one-time thinking instead of the usual violence.
On Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July, a show of transformation and illusionism on stilts awaits the little ones, PINDARICO, a flight balanced between real and imaginary. Sounds, colors and much more directed by Italo Pecoretti, with original music by Tiziano Fantappiè, with Pietro Rasoti and Miriam Calautti that will surprise the audience with magnified characters in proportions by the use of stilts and creatures of extraordinary acrobatics. The story passes between surprises and moments of thread, guiding us on a dreamlike, unlikely, wonderful journey: the free and visionary journey that an old aviator makes in the thread of memories, an adventure lived in his youth, or perhaps in the dimension of the fairy tale. of awake sleep.
Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 July tribute to the figure of Dante and his work with a stage trip to the Hell of the Divine Comedy, BAMBINI ALL’INFERNO. Divine Stories from the Otherworld by Renzo Boldrini, who invents a sustainable language for the audience of very young contemporaries without betraying the symbolic heart of Dante’s narrative. Always yielded by the tradition of narrators, the performer on stage, Tommaso Taddei, will illustrate the descent into hell of Dante and Virgil through a book-theater from which characters, sets and sounds will emerge. . Thus the actor will become a kind of Virgil for viewers, like Dante, accompanied to meet Paolo and Francesca, Ulysses, devils of all kinds and fantastic and mythological creatures of all kinds.
It ends on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July with a real magical apparition that sets in motion the children’s imagery, A HEART ON PEDALS, loosely inspired by the book Geophantic Notes by Gianluca Caporaso and Sergio Olivotti. The show by and with Ippolito Chiarello, directed by Michelangelo Campanale, features an eccentric explorer, an extraordinary traveler able to reconstruct the most secret and fantastic stories of cities, arriving by bicycle to tell his travels and gather information about the city. . . A training in travel and imagination by Mister Nasca, a street scout and explorer who, at every stage, with fantastic ratings and looking the public in the eye, aims to choose the most suitable city to tell. But in reality he always says the same thing: the city of dreams, because it is the story of a group of children, explorers like him, who travel because they would like to found a city. After making his stop and making sure he has instructed people to travel, he reassembles all his merchandise and rides his bike, back to the road.
