Going to three different complexes in Chianti, in the last days of school, Elisa Corneli, president of Chiantiform, addressed a special greeting to the students of all third grade classes of Val di Pesa, Greve in Chianti and Barberino Tavarnelle accompanied for ” invitation to take advantage of the free training opportunity offered by Chiantiform, linked to the vocations of the territory: agriculture, organic farming, environmental sustainability through new technologies, bioenergy and digital innovation in the sector.

The course aims to convey the secrets of the trade by alternating traditional methods with interactive and digital tools and techniques such as precision farming, the use of drones in the fields, the application of sensors along the rows, weather stations and the use of specific targeted Apps. to verify the processes of elaboration of the wine by means of virtual laboratories of analysis, together with the real ones.

The tour in schools, organized together with the Councilor for Education and Training Policies Marina Baretta (Barberino Tavarnelle), Maria Grazia Esposito (Greve in Chianti), Elisabetta Masti (San Casciano in Val di Pesa) and Maura Masini (San Casciano in Val di Pesa). The initiative, implemented for the first time in schools, has set itself the goal of communicating widely, and with the involvement of direct recipients, the objectives and contents of the course of Training and Vocational Training Agr.I.For.Chianti 4.0, managed by the Chiantiform ETS Training Agency, open for the third edition.

“It was a useful opportunity to talk to students in class – says Elisa Corneli – perceiving their interest in a proposal, certainly unusual, which reflects the identity of the place where they live and offers important training and professional opportunities in the area, students they asked for more information and listened intently, attracted by the learning methods of the course which combines the teaching of traditional subjects with a practical journey in the subject with 800 hours of internships and outdoor activities ”.

The school that trains the farmers of the future is therefore preparing to launch a new class in which girls and boys between 14 and 18 years old can participate. The course, funded by the Region of Tuscany through ministerial funds under Giovani Sì for a total amount of 270 thousand euros, consists of 3168 hours in total. Theoretical classes alternate with laboratory classes with 800 hours of practice in local companies. Driven and organized by Chiantiform and the four municipalities that make up the training agency (Barberino Tavarnelle, Greve in Chianti, San Casciano in Val di Pesa, Bagno a Ripoli), the course has an added value as it allows compliance with the instruction .
