This first summer weekend will be under the banner of sport, really intense for our region, with seven events scheduled in many localities in the area, promoted and supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region. A calendar of important events in many disciplines: motorcycling, table tennis, beach volleyball, sailing, cycling, athletics, not to mention the Paralympics.
Emilia-Romagna therefore confirms its sporting vocation by supporting multiple competitive events, which until Sunday 26 will feature Ferrara, Carpineti, Medolla, San Felice sul Panaro, Marina di Ravenna, Igea Marina and Rimini. The program is developed between national and international events, confirming the attractive importance of our ‘Sport Valley’, increasingly chosen for its hospitality and organizational capacity as well as for its network of high quality plants.

Seven sporting events are scheduled, with events involving a large part of the Emilia-Romagna region. The European Sailing Championship (European Championship 2022 Emilia-Romagna, “competition category”) will be located in the waters of the sea of Marina di Ravenna: started on Thursday 23, will last until Sunday 26 June. An individualized continental sailing festival, organized by the Circolo Velico Ravennate in collaboration with Eurosaf, the European Sailing Federation, and with the support of the Emilia-Romagna Region. The absolute Italian Beach Volleyball Championship returns to Bellaria Igea Marina: more than 600 athletes are expected. The beach of the town of Rimini will therefore be the scene from today until June 26, with the final, in the new appointment with the national beach volleyball. A great sporting event, which hosted the Polo Est Village of Igea Marina, organized by the Italian Volleyball Federation (Fipav) in collaboration with Insubria Gallarate and Dinamo Volley, with the most important athletes from all over Italy who will compete in the different categories in the 8 available playing fields.
In Rimini, two events will be held in the spaces of the fairgrounds. The first is entirely dedicated to gymnastics, with the start today Friday 24 of the ‘National Finals Summer Edition 2022’, which will feature the performance of numerous athletes from different specialties: from artistic gymnastics to rhythmic gymnastics, from bars to rings, in female individual. competitions and male and group. The event is part of the Gymnastics in Festa event, organized by the Italian Gymnastics Federation and with the support of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
On Saturday 26 June and until 2 July, again at the Rimini Fairgrounds, some 3,000 athletes over the age of 40 from across the continent (42 countries represented) will compete against each other, this time at the ping tables -pong. Italy, and in particular Rimini, will host the Veteran Table Tennis World Championship for the second time, following the 2003 Courmayeur edition. The event, under the auspices of the European Table Tennis Union, is organized by the Italian Table Tennis Federation, with the sponsorship of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Coni, Cip, the region of Emilia-Romagna, the municipality of Rimini and the Istituto per il Credito Sportivo. After a six-week break, the EnduroGP World Championship arrives in Italy this weekend (Saturday 25 June and Sunday 26 June) in Carpineti (Re) for the Italian Grand Prix organized by the Moto Club Crostolo which in 2020, still in Covid-19 emergency, he took care of the first round of the Absolutes of Italy in the best possible way. From Thursday, until June 26, Ferrara is the central field of Paralympic sport, hosting the Italian 5-a-side football championship promoted by the Italian Federation of Paralympic Sports of Relational Intellectuals (FISDIR), with the sponsorship of the Region, in the offices of the Palapalestre and the Palaboschetto. The organization is organized by the sports association of amateurs Format Ferrara that has always given support and promotion of the Paralympic sport. 15 teams from all over Italy will take part in the championship, made up of athletes with intellectual disabilities, and 4 national titles will be contested: one reserved only in the Down category, one at the basic level, one at the advanced level and one at the level pre-competitive.
Finally, cycling will be the protagonist in the area of Modena, on Sunday 26 June, with the Italian Championship of cycling in women’s route Elite and Under 23 2022. Departure from Medolla and arrival in San Felice sul Panaro, in the heart of the crater, the area affected by the 2012 earthquake, for a distance of more than 140 km by the nine municipalities of the Union of the Northern Area: Camposanto, Cavezzo, Concordia, Finale Emilia, Medolla, Mirandola, San Felice sul Panaro, San Possidonio i San Prospero.
