Inside a The Nesta modern and cozy refuge, there are two strangers. Will be (Yoshimi blue): a troubled girl from a good family. Ivan (Luciano Cáceres): a seemingly anonymous and harmless man, but who hides a dark past. They are safe and protected from the outside world, but the girl has become infected and is slowly becoming a monster. But instead of killing her, Ivan he decides that he will try to cure her. Thus begins his descent into a spiral of manipulation and deception. And it is among the twists and turns of this one modern horror fairy tale that Blu said between the lines VelvetMAG. It started from its origins when it made its film debut in 2008 alongside Nanni Moretti in the movie Quiet chaos.

If your artistic career was represented by a map, the starting point is your film debut with Nanni Moretti in 2008 with Quiet chaos?

I’m back on set with Nanni Moretti in his direction next movie, and it’s funny how often everything comes back. Perhaps one of the memories that left the most impression on me is when Moretti related and immediately treated me like a pro. As well as Antonello Grimaldithe director of Quiet chaos. I also fought I Nanni, a “detail” that underscores how she has always treated me to her height. But not only that, Nanni has an attitude proactive towards the younger ones and that way of relating to him was based precisely on this principle at the time.

Continuing with the chronology of your career, let’s go to 2012 with Applause and spit, miniseries dedicated to Enzo Tortora by Ricky Tognazzi.

There it was small too, but also a little bigger and I tried a set that told a story true storyand it was one of those times that I I felt a certain responsibility by bringing it to the small screen. Be part of a cast that tells a story that really happened and narrate with the idea that some of those people who have lived the depths of this life can still see it again – whether on a small or large screen. entails a responsibility.

Voliamo all’oggi, June 20, 2022, is available on all movie and TV distribution platforms The nest. It usually refers to the smell of the house, to the heat, but in what director Temponi explains it is an ambiguous “place”. Tell us about your character: Sara.

The nest it shows how reality far surpasses the imagination. And I also think it highlights something that has been underestimated in real life, which is that not all houses are places that make you safe. In fact, I’m thinking of increasing the number of cases Domestic violence which was there during the confinement. How I think the depression among young people that increased during the Covid-19 restriction period. The nest in my case it was one strong film for many reasons.

Sara has something really cool. She is a very versatile female character: contradictory, unpleasant at times. But Sara also has a sweet side, and it has a huge darkness who eats it. Precisely that darkness that unites and makes it depending on the will of another person, in this case Ivan. Here we are introduced to the feeling of having no other choice when we live an abusive, toxic and manipulative relationship.

How did you prepare to play Sara? Who inspired you?

I’ve seen a lot of genre films, even the most recent ones. I too have always had mine muse, Natalie Portmanfocusing a lot on the roles he brought to the stage, like ne The black swan where Portman herself had the idea for it inner monster that he had to go out. The nestwas a film that on a personal level left its depth, a acts of courage which introduced me to all those scary situations. The movie scared me right awaybut not because it is a horrorbut because it took me approach the darkness. And sometimes looking at that darkness in the face is not the funniest thing in the world. With The nest I was eager to do it and have fun with it, to the point that it has returned to the usual wonderful game of acting.

I’d like to call her catharsis. On the other hand, it is a film that came at the right time. I was prepared, also because I had already had something incisive in my personal life e Sara and I really shook hands walk together. I lived a personal situation – I’m not saying sentimental – but family manipulator. Living it I heard something that led me to go further and say: “I don’t want to be the victim, but I don’t want to be the executioner either”. And when I realized I didn’t like playing that “game,” there was a clean break. The years went by, there were comparisons, studies and research, and then I chose and gave up everything else.

The DAMS degree has also arrived this year. Want to try your hand at film writing?

Change the instrument, because obviously as an actress I am more at the service of a story. Writing, on the other hand, allows me to be a little more being able to direct a story. This also happens when you take a role on a set, especially when you are the protagonists. With The nest it’s a movie that for example I felt as much as mine. I felt like I did it along with Mattia, Luciano (Ivan) and the whole team.

Blue actress I Blu Writer yes, they are different, but maybe because in writing I can give more space for my personality. In fact, I’m very close to drama. While as an actress I find myself experimenting more because somehow I put myself at the service of the script, and therefore of the authors and the story you want to tell. The responsibility I feel as an actress I feel as much as when I write.

Which side do you see most in the future?

First of all, it is a period in which I find it difficult to see it from here. Since I focus so much on the present, I have no idea. If you have to listen to my wish is this no one takes over, but because they are complementary arts and I wish I could stay together. What I am currently writing are female stories. There are some that I would like to interpret, for example, but others that I would like to write to make them interpret.

Blue, a delicate, unusual and unique name …

In fact, we have to thank mom. At the time, when she became pregnant, she was studying Sociology and, according to legend, was preparing a dissertation for an exam on the fact that the blue would have entered thecollective imaginary through the ad. What happened if we think of Facebook or Twitter. Color that has tan communicative properties, which puts you at ease and leads to the opening of the dialogue. I arrived just then and in short, so it was. While Yoshimi is a name he gave me Daisaku Ikedahonorary president of the Soka Gakkai international and media beautiful and good. Do not do it is absolutely a artistic name I No is a surname, but a name, in fact, is in the document. From a young age I decided to take it with me, in every small and big victory.

Velvet Mag had the pleasure of interviewing Lidia Vitale a few months ago. A great performer for everyone, a mother for you too and the one Blu gave you. Art itself creates a double thread around you, but what do you see in it?

In my opinion we have a lot in common and just as many that make us two independent people. Surely she passed it on to me and then I cultivated it in my life, and I talk about that impulse of I stop. We will both continue to have relapses because, well, life is like this, with ups and downs, but I think both my mother and I have the strength to say: “No, I’m going ahead, I’m getting up and even better than before”. Seeing that this force never ends encourages me a lot.

Becoming an actress was natural. There passion – of course – he fed according to contact with my mother, having followed her through the various workshops and watching many movies. And then I decided to become an actress many times. I decided it every day because I always knew it would be. And after learning about it, my mother advised me to start studying, a path that allowed me to have my own independent path. Together is funbecause we are two artists with their paths that lead us to face each other and, above all, we respect each other.
