Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo, the third version of the electric sheet

A mix between the versatility of the Cross and the sportiness of the sedan

Milan, June 15 (askanews) – Porsche expands its electric range with the third variant of the Taycan, the Sport Turismo that combines the lines and versatility of the Cross with the “on-road” sports dynamics of the sedan.

With the new Taycan, Porsche is accelerating towards the goal of generating half of its sales with electric or electrified cars by 2025, focusing on growing demand and the upcoming arrival of the best-selling all-electric Macan. Last year, Taycan sales doubled to 41,000 units, 14% of the total (300,000 cars), surpassing 911, a record 38,000 units.

The Sport Turismo is available in 5 versions with two battery options of 79.2 and 93.4 kWh for the less powerful. The entry-level version, the only rear-wheel drive version, has 408 hp (with overboost) and 476 hp with the Performance Battery Plus; the 530 hp and 571 hp 4S; the Gts 598 hp, the Turbo and the Turbo S 680 and 761 hp respectively. The powerful Porsche Turbo S burns 0-100 in 2.8 seconds in Launch Control mode for a top speed of 260 km / h, while the most autonomous version is the 4S: up to 498 km. Batteries with 800 volt architecture allow fast recharging of up to 270 kW (Performance Battery Plus): in 22 minutes it goes from 5 to 80%, while in 5 minutes it accumulates energy for 100 km. On consumption, the house indicates an average of 20-25 kWh per 100 km, but pushing it can exceed 40 kWh.

For the European media campaign with 22 countries, Porsche has chosen Gallura in Sardinia, focusing on mixed routes with fast stretches along the emerald coast and winding and guided inland, between rocks and mountains. Prices range from 91 thousand euros to 193 thousand for the Turbo S version.
